WELCOME TO TRUE WEST AND BIG SOUTH FORK!

True West Big South Fork

True West is owned by Mark Krider, whose southern roots show as much in his style
of talk as they do in his warm hospitality. Mark opened True West in 2004 with the dream
of establishing a place where guests may join him in his favorite pastimes -- trail
riding in the Big South Fork, the excitement and fun of the Old West, and the best
in Southern entertainment – live Bluegrass music.

True West Big South Fork

Mark's goal is to make sure each and every guest has a great time at True West.
He lives on the premises so is always available and happy to help in any way he can.

Big South Fork

Big South Fork is full of scenic overlooks, cool creeks, peaceful forests, blooming
laurels and rhododendrons, as well as magnificent sandstone bluffs and arches.
On summer days you can even ride down to a creek and swim
(or use the nearby National Park's swimming pool for $2/person).

Big South Fork

The Big South Fork area offers not only some of the best horse trails in the country,
but also hiking trails, fishing, hunting, kayaking, white water rafting,
mountain biking and historic sites.

In nearby Pickett State Park (10 min. from True West), there are many, many miles
of great ATV trails. ATVs are not allowed in Big South Fork Park except during
hunting season when actively retrieving game.

For information on all that the area has to offer, visit the Fentress County tourism site.
