WELCOME TO TRUE WEST AND BIG SOUTH FORK!
|
Hi, we're the Martin Family; all of us born and raised in New Hampshire. My
wife, Donna, and I have been married for over 25 years and we have a lovely 20 year old daughter, Brittany. We've always had the pleasure of camping in New
Hampshire's White Mountains, Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Maine during the
summer months as it was one of our favorite vacation activities.
Brittany was just 4 months old on her first camping trip. Starting out with
a tent, moving on to a pop-up and finally a 30' travel trailer. Camping is
what we love to do. So why not buy a whole campground? What could be more
fun than turning a vacation into a full time job!
Additionally, my wife has always had a passion for horses ever since she was a
little girl. We've had horses for the past 15 years. We brought two with is from NH and we've added two more since.

Trooper is a 21 year old black TWH gelding, who originated from Tennessee, and
has been with us for 12 years. This will be like a home coming for him.
Skye, our 8 year old palomino Quarter Horse mare, was a rescue case. She is a
by-product of a premarin farm in North Dakota, and we rescued her from the sure
clutches of slaughter at the young age of 6 months old. And now we have Jager and Chimera, two Tennessee Walking horses from right here in TN.
We are all looking forward to the 2012 coming season and making True West the best
it can be. I hope you'll join us. Our goal is to make True West a favorite stop
for everyone, young and old. With access to the trails just a stride away,
True West Campground, Stables and Mercantile is the place to be. After a full
day of exploring what Big South Fork has to offer, we want to be sure that your
fun does not end when you return to True West. Come - enjoy our great
hospitality, meet new people, and top it all off with the best horspitality
around! Our goal is to make it so that you never want to go home again.
Thanks for stopping by.
Shawn and Donna Martin
