True West is THE premiere campground of Big South Fork. Our legendary customer service is known far and wide, we offer premiere hospitality and HORSEpitality. We are adjacent to Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, offering hiking, biking, river rafting, rock climbing, ATV trails, star gazing, and the best trail riding in all of Tennessee.

There are 67 stalls (10x10) and several stud stalls available.
Comfort & Ease

Each stall has two bucket hooks. A bridle holder and saddle rack are mounted on the front of each stall. Stalls are bedded with sawdust prior to your arrival. If you need additional sawdust during your stay it is available free of charge, we just ask you to be conservative so we can keep it free. Stall cleaning service is offered for an additional fee.

Our barn has an 18 foot hallway for ease in tacking up your horse for that great trail ride.

We have two (2) wash stations for your horses. You can hose them off when you return from the trail or cool them down.

We have a 60-foot round pen available to exercise your horse for short periods.

Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. CST; check-out time is 11:00 a.m. CST.
Guests should provide their own feed, hay, and water buckets. Tack can be kept in the barn by your stall or at your site. We do not have tie-outs, nor do we have areas for portable electric pens. Guests are responsible for cleaning their stalls, and stripping them when they leave cleaning is available as an add on. Forks and carts are provided.
We usually have hay for sale, but please check first.
